Okay, I'm not done yet. Again I will be aiming for CARRY ON ONLY (please don't take my luggage please don't take my luggage please don't take my luggage.) I ordered 3oz sunscreens and bug repellents at REI and everything!
I leave for Taiwan tomorrow. I plan to spend the first 5 nights in Taipei and then head to Kaohsuing for four nights and then back up to Taipei for the last few nights. If there is a ton to do in Taipei, I'll stay there; I can cancel my second hotel last minute. But my sense is that 12 days is too long there.
I am flying direct (DIRECT I tell you!) into Taipei. I hope to fly on a Hello Kitty plane like this one:
I also happen to know, because I flew through the Taipei airport on my way to Bali in 2012, that they have a Hello Kitty gate! This is what it looked like back then:
If I don't make it back it's because I died of Sanrio cuteness.
I checked the weather and it looks like it's raining every day, which is not too surprising. But it is going to be warm to hot, which is what I wanted, although I guess not too sunny.
Anyway, I'll be updating this with my latest shenanigans, which will likely consist of me going to museums, walking a lot, eating and being in bed at a responsible hour (I'm such a loose cannon.)
